We always wanted our environment to be beautiful and attractive. This also applies to the space outside our homes, as well as to the interior of the house itself. The practice of changing “nature” around our housing to meet personal needs brings us back many centuries ago and most of the landscape designs that were laid out long ago still remain with us today as sights.

The Perfect Landscaping

Although “landscape architecture” as a name was invented in 1828, but only in the twentieth century did it acquire the meaning that it has now. This is a much more ancient style of architecture, which is rooted in the distant past, to the times of primitive man and the cultivation of land for the cultivation of various crops.

  • Due to the distant origin of landscape architecture, it is impossible to establish its exact time. Most world cultures have some form of landscape design: from stone-lined gardens in Japan to skillfully made hedge mazes in Europe and modest flower beds and statues.
  • The importance of landscape design was also different in different cultures. Creating complex and beautiful “sanctuaries” has always been an integral part of Japanese culture, while the same meaning has only recently become used in Western culture. From Augusta, GA this was the best option now.
  • Recently, landscape design has also become an important part of urban architecture, as more and more people realize the importance of urban greening. Perhaps very soon on all the roofs of skyscrapers and high-rise buildings will be green gardens and forested areas.

Landscape architecture as a separate art form began to be applied in the seventeenth century. Until that time, although there were attempts, people did not take it seriously, because they put functionality and not the beauty of the space outside the home first. But despite this, landscape architecture was in demand, but only as a luxury that wealthy and wealthy people could afford.

However, at that time, it was still not known as landscape architecture. The term itself was introduced in 1828 and applied to the Italian gardens, although the author of the book On the Landscape Architecture of the Great Painters of Italy, Gilbert Myson, was never there. However, he was deeply aware of the beauty of outdoor design and began to strive for it in his home in Scotland. The practice of application began to spread through Europe in the XIX century.

It was in the XX century

landscape architecture has really reached its level; it has been enriched with all sorts of literature on practice, teaching and doing business in this direction, in order to deal exclusively with designing gardens and lawns around buildings, and not with interior space.

Landscape architecture is now very popular, as people can afford more complex solutions in terms of design of lawns and gardens. This profession is recognized in the International Labor Council and nowadays there are many firms and educational institutions that accept and train landscape architects and designers.

The importance of having beautiful natural places is growing in the minds of many city dwellers, which leads to the emergence of a greater number of beautiful and green cities, and this is undoubtedly positive.
